Ethium stonework
Building stone from the Ethium plateau — towers, roads, shrines, pools, and carved work.
Appearance
- Colour: light, near-white
- Feel: hard as granite, smooth as marble
- At rest: no blue veins, glow, or colour in the rock itself
When blue appears
Blue light or veins in stonework only show when Ethium Stones activate it — placed in sockets, spoken to with the old language, or brought near carved channels built to channel stone-magic.
The stones themselves (the egg-sized fragments) may show blue veins when waking or in use. That is not the same as the building stone.
In prose
- Ruins on the plateau: pale, colourless blocks unless a stone has been used nearby
- Pools and water features may hold their own old magic in the water; the surrounding stone stays pale until stones are set in the rim sockets
