Dave the Wizard
The young dragonborn was born among a proud clan that valued strength, battle, and the power of the dragon’s breath. He stands six foot seven — exceptionally tall even for one of his kind — and still has the earnest, uncertain manner of someone who has not quite grown into his height. But while others trained with claw and blade, he was drawn instead to runes, stories, and the quiet patterns of magic. His scales shimmered faintly with copper light when he cast even the smallest spell.
The elders noticed.
Rather than shaming him, they gave him a trial — not of combat, but of wisdom. He was entrusted with an old spellbook and a simple mission:
“Go into the wider world. Learn what magic truly is. Return when you understand your power.”
One passage in his spellbook speaks of ancient knowledge hidden near great falls and old crossroads, where magic gathers and history leaves echoes. Those words have led him toward Fallcrest, a town built on ruins, water, and forgotten stories.
His familiar is Peggy, a pseudodragon — small enough to perch on his shoulder, curious, and useful for scouting. When he sends her ahead, Dave falls into a trance and sees and hears through her eyes and ears. Dave calls her Pegs. He has never explained why, and the party has not pressed him on it.

Thorn Axehand
Thorn Axehand was born deep in a frozen forest far to the north, in a great cave lit by firelight and the glow of ice. His tribe, the Axe-Brood of Stonepine, live by hunting, forging, and guarding the ancient paths of their homeland.
From a young age, Thorn showed strength, steadiness, and a rare calm in battle. He earned his battle axe in a trial of winter, proving he could survive alone in the snow for three days and return with food for his people.
Now, Thorn has left the tribe to travel south and seek adventure. He fights not for gold, but for honour, stories, and proof that he is worthy to be a future champion of his people.

Willow Starbloom (not in campaign yet)
On the night Willow was born, a shooting star fell into the forest. The druids believe she is tied to it — that’s why she is called Starbloom.
